Phenolization of the sinus tract in recurrent sacrococcygeal pilonidal sinus disease: long-term results of a prospective cohort study

Phenolization for recurrent SPSD showed a recurrence rate of 14.9% with significant improvement of natal cleft symptoms and quality of life at long-term follow-up. Therefore, phenolization should be considered as a feasible option for patients with recurrent SPSD.
