Historical aspects of ethics and deontology in the activity of a hygienist, problems and ways for their solutions
During the period of its historical formation and development, the State Sanitary and Epidemiological Service of Russia solved the main tasks of preventing diseases and preserving the health of the population. However, the ethical standards and deontology of the sanitary doctor in society were not formed. Based on literary publications and practical work experience, we have made an attempt to show ways and means of introducing deontological principles into the activities of a hygienist, taking into account his specifics, moral, ethical and professional requirements for specialists in this profession, and proposed new forms of work in modern conditions, taking into account the changed sanitary legislation. The preparation of methodological and educational literature, as well as the systematization of knowledge on issues of ethics and deontology in the work of specialists in the implementation of state sanitary and epidemiological control and supervision remains especially important and relevant.
