Analysis of Historical Park Image Perception Based on Online Reviews from a Sustainable Development Perspective

In recent years, there has been increasing attention to historical landscapes and cultural heritage, with a growing awareness of their close connection to cultural and national identity. Historical parks, as one of the most common types of urban historical landscapes, are open green areas centered around significant sites and integrated with surrounding natural and cultural landscapes. However, in recent years, with the development of historical parks, some parks have prioritized development over protection, leading to various issues in site presentation and landscape display, which severely affect heritage preservation and the dissemination of historical culture. Sustainable development design theory has emerged as a new approach for redesigning such historical landscape heritage.
This study, based on the concept of sustainable development and the analysis of domestic and international historical parks and literature, employs field research and online text analysis. Taking the Liangzhu Ancient City Park, a World Cultural Heritage site, as an example, the study gathers user perceptions of the park&quots overall image. Based on these findings and the United Nations&quot sustainable development principles, corresponding design strategies are proposed. The aim is to improve and enhance the cultural heritage image of historical parks, exploring the future development of sustainable historical cultural landscapes. The research methods are as follows:
Firstly, the background, objectives, research methods, and scope of the study are introduced.
Secondly, the theoretical foundation is presented, clarifying the concepts and key characteristics of historical landscapes, historical parks, and sustainable development.
Thirdly, through online text analysis, the study reveals the true cultural heritage image of historical parks, including spatial layout, landscape facilities, cultural landscapes, and user emotions.
Fourthly, based on the above research, the study explores the content of sustainable design for historical parks, covering aspects such as road design, planning management, public education, functional design, ecological design, and more. Finally, after analyzing the landscape presentation methods and development strategies of historical parks, the study aims to achieve a positive and sustainable development that balances tourism development with heritage protection. This study not only provides new theoretical perspectives at the academic level but also offers practical guidance for the sustainable management and operation of historical parks at the industrial level, contributing to the development of both academic and industrial fields in interdisciplinary research. Additionally, the results of this study are not only applicable to China but can also serve as a reference for the management of historical parks in Korea and other regions, promoting cross-regional sustainable development practices and academic exchange.
