This article seeks to elucidate the crucial importance of school management in fostering quality education, adopting a methodological approach centered on a meticulous bibliographical review. The detailed analysis of school management and quality of education was carried out with a focus on the integral development of the individual, emphasizing not only personal autonomy, but also active insertion in the community and, above all, social emancipation. The public policies implemented that prioritize quality over quantity were cited, highlighting the imperative need for collective engagement in this democratic process. The positive aspects of school management, which corroborate the quality of education, were addressed, with emphasis on current legislation and the effective participation of all segments in the construction of a school of excellence. In summary, it is concluded that effective school management is crucial for improving the quality of education, aiming at the development of a student-citizen fully capable of transforming the environment in which he or she lives, thus promoting individual and collective well-being.
