INFLUENCE OF ARABLE LAND SURFACE CONDITION ON THE VOLUME OF SPRING MELT EROSION
The article describes the result of studying the influence of the condition of the arable land surface on the volume of erosive soil washout by the action of spring melt runoff. The greatest erosion hazard is posed by untreated black fallow (flush volume is maximum - 5.4-16.6 m3/ha), as well as plowed land processed along the slope (flush volume 3.2-14.6 m3/ha). Winter grain crops placed along the slope have a weak soil-protective effect (flush volume 2.3-6.8 m3/ha). Stubble of spring grain crops and winter grain crops sown across the slope show a minimal amount of soil loss (flush volume 0.3-2.2 m3/ha).
