MONITORING THE CONDITION OF FOREST BELT USING GIS AND REMOTE SENSING DATA
Monitoring the condition of forest belts using GIS technologies, considering their linear nature, has its own specifics. The comparison of results in calculating the areas of forest belts using different methods has shown that when obtaining preliminary data, the NDVI index is sufficient. However, in cases of significant loss in the area of forest belts, it is necessary to refine the results using manual vectorization based on satellite images. It is proposed to take into account the condition of forest belts when calculating the normative crop yield during agro-ecological soil assessment by introducing reducing coefficients to the main score.
