Sea ice thickness research based on numerical simulation
Sea ice is an important parameter in the design of offshore wind and photovoltaic structures. Sea ice is only observed along the coast, while offshore wind power is more than 10 kilometers offshore, and offshore photovoltaics are also a few kilometers far away. This article uses numerical simulation methods to obtain a long series of sea ice thickness data. The data is through test and verify by sea ice coverage and seawater surface temperature. The obtained long-term sea ice thickness values will be calculated using the Gumbel frequency distribution curve for different return periods, providing a basis for design. By comparing the calculation results in actual cases with the recommended values in the specifications, it can be concluded that this method is reliable.
