Durability of foamed concrete – freeze-thaw resistance of foamed concrete
Although foamed concrete was practically created about 100 years ago, there are no current standards for foamed concrete and test methods for determining its properties. Hence, while the assessment of mechanical properties can be found in the literature, the assessment of the durability of foamed concrete is rare and is most often carried out due to a specific impact or for a specific composition of foamed concrete. Therefore, this work presents the results of tests on foamed concrete with densities ranging from 600 to 750 kg/m3 subjected to freeze-thaw cycles. Based on the results of the tests, it was found that the tested foamed concrete met the requirements of the PN-B-06265 standard for the freeze-thaw resistance degree F25
