Design of programmable physical unclonable function based on FPGA
With the development of integrated circuit (IC) technology, the application scenes of the Internet of Things (IoT) are becoming more and more extensive. The Internet of Things makes it difficult for traditional encryption technologies to adapt to social trends. In order to solve a series of security problems, the concept of Physical Unclonable Function (PUF) was proposed at the beginning of this century. This thesis discusses the categorization of PUF, the classical PUF design and the metrics of PUF from the basic definition of PUF and their principles. At the same time, the definitions related to the challenge-response pair of the PUF are explained and illustrated. the programmable ring oscillator PUF implemented in this thesis has a greater advantage. this thesis can reduce the consumption of hardware resources under the generation of the same length PUF response. The research in this paper aims to provide an effective reference for practical application.
