10th Pacific Symposium on Radical Chemistry (PSRC-10)
Welcome to this SYNTHESIS special issue dedicated to the 10 th Pacific Symposium on Radical Chemistry (PSRC-10).PSRC was launched in 2004 to activate organic radical chemistry in the Pacific Rim by promoting mutual interaction among people in this field.Since then, nine meetings have been held almost every two years, successfully nurturing organic radical chemistry worldwide beyond its original scope. The tenth symposium was held in Kyoto, Japan, from June 4 to 9, 2023, with a total of 186 researchers from 18 countries gathered for 55 oral and 91 poster presentations.A radical is a molecule with unpaired electrons and is an important chemical species that plays a key role in various fields, including organic synthesis, polymer synthesis, organic material chemistry, and biology. The PSRC featured presentations and discussions on the latest topics in organic radical chemistry, and PRSC participants contributed 12 synthesis-related papers to this special issue. We, the guest editors, thank them for their contributions and hope that readers will enjoy their exciting content.
