Crack Detection with Conditional Diffusion Model

Detecting cracks in surface images is crucial in engineering and materials science. Although learning-based methods have shown success in this area, accurately determining the shape of cracks remains a challenge. To address this issue, we introduce the first conditional diffusion model in crack detection. Our experiments show that this model can accurately detect crack shapes and achieves the highest precision score.

Abstract

Detecting cracks in surface images is crucial in engineering and materials science. Although learning-based methods have shown success in this area, accurately determining the shape of cracks remains a challenge. To address this issue, we introduce the first conditional diffusion model in crack detection. Our experiments show that this model can accurately detect crack shapes and achieves the highest precision score.
