Simulation of Gas Filtration Processes in Fractured-Porous Media
The purpose of this study is to review and analyze the results of research on the characteristics of fracturing and permeability of porous rocks and their fractured zones for further utilization of these findings in addressing practical tasks, particularly in the operation of underground gas storage facilities. The paper presents a method for solving systems of nonlinear differential equations in partial derivatives. On the basis of the finite elements method the numerical model of gas filtration in the porous non-uniform media is suggested. The proposed model relies on the application of Grunwald-Letnikov operators, which involve fractional derivatives with respect to space. The article describes methods for modeling gas filtration in porous media, taking into account fractured zones. Corresponding numerical experiments have been conducted. The results of the experiment confirmed the behavior of the gas pressure in the presence of atypical filtering. It is found that the order the fractional derivative can serve as the parameter adaptation of the mathematical model.
