ICT Investment Impact on Economic Growth: Comparing Developing and Advanced Economies

This paper examines the influence of investment in information and communication technology on GDP growth in both advanced and developing economies, utilizing multiple linear regression analysis. The research methodology included extensive data collection from 38 advanced economies and 72 developing economies. The analysis included control variables such as trade openness, exchange rate, political stability, and consumer price index. The research concluded that growth in ICT capital services correlates positively with increased GDP growth, stronger in advanced rather than developing economies. Moreover, excessive reliance on ICT capital compensation might hinder economic growth in developing economies.
