Harnessing humic acid: cultivating sustainable agriculture and environmental resilience in pursuit of SDG’s
Through a variety of processes, humic acids (HA) contribute immensely to the growth of plants and the improvement of soil health. The organic molecules known as HA are formed from organic materials, coal, and soil. They have a good impact on plant development, nutrient availability, and soil qualities.By boosting nutrient uptake, especially of micronutrients, through chelation and cotransport mechanisms, HA promotes plant growth.Additionally, they raise the solubility of nutrients and lower the pH of the soil, which can raise the availability of nutrients.HA promotes plant growth, which enhances crop growth, and supports hormones that help with stress tolerance, nutrition, metabolism, and photosynthesis, including auxin and cytokinin.Due to the formation of micelles by HA, which improve clay aggregate stability and resist water molecules, soil water-holding capacity (WHC) can be increased.Field crops benefit from humic acids because they improve soil qualities, nutrient availability, and crop growth, which increases yield and quality. To completely comprehend the mechanics and maximize the use of HA in crop production, more research is necessary. To observe the role of humic substance on different crops and their growth.
