Optimizing Purchasing in a Retail Construction Store: A Theoretical Perspective on ERP Adoption
This paper proposes the implementation of an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system at YY Home Builders Depot to address the inefficiencies of its manual purchasing processes. Without actual integration, the study meticulously outlines the potential enhancements in operational efficiency, error reduction, and inventory management the ERP system could bring. It discusses the expected benefits of automation, such as improved data accuracy and process visibility, which are crucial for making informed decisions and managing inventory effectively. The proposal provides a theoretical framework for transitioning from traditional manual processes to a comprehensive, automated ERP system, offering insights for similar retail businesses considering digital transformation.
