Ancient Greek Paideia and Eros

The purpose of this study is to examine how Eros as a methodological principle of Greek Paideia worked and changed in different regions and times of Greek, accepting Marrou's perspective on Eros that flowed as a common 'principle' or 'method' of Greek Paideia. Examining how Eros worked in Greek "Warrior Culture" and "Scribe Culture" is more meaningful than an overview of the ancient history of Greek education. It can dynamically explain the mechanisms by which practical knowledge(activity) and theoretical knowledge(concept) are transmitted in education today, respectively.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine how Eros as a methodological principle of Greek Paideia worked and changed in different regions and times of Greek, accepting Marrou's perspective on Eros that flowed as a common 'principle' or 'method' of Greek Paideia. Examining how Eros worked in Greek "Warrior Culture" and "Scribe Culture" is more meaningful than an overview of the ancient history of Greek education. It can dynamically explain the mechanisms by which practical knowledge(activity) and theoretical knowledge(concept) are transmitted in education today, respectively.
