THE ROLE OF THE HUMANITIES IN THE EDUCATION OF CITIZENSHIP AND PATRIOTISM
The article defines the meaning of the concepts of citizenship and patriotism in modern realities. The state's policy in the field of higher education is being adjusted, and the patriotic component is being strengthened. Attention is being paid to the protection of historical truth, the creation of conditions for the dissemination of reliable and scientifically based historical knowledge in society, aimed at forming an objective understanding of historical and modern events. The influence of the cycle of humanities on the solution of the problem of formation of citizenship and patriotism among cadets and students is determined.
