Altered metabolic profiles in male offspring conceived from intracytoplasmic sperm injection
The findings of this study suggested that ICSI was associated with altered glucose and lipid profiles compared to their IVF controls, characterized by lower fasting glucose z-scores, total cholesterol z-scores, and LDL-C z-scores. Encouraging fathers to reduce their body weight could potentially improve the metabolic health of their ICSI-conceived children.
