Integrated Approach To Material Parameterization And Inflation Control Of Hyperelastic Membrane For Artificial Left Ventricle Development

Abstract In transitioning from conventional mechanical to biomedical applications, the choice of materials becomes critical. While hard materials like steel offer durability, their compatibility with biological systems, particularly blood, is limited due to the risk of cell damage. To address this, our research focuses on soft membrane-based systems to minimize haemolysis and optimize blood flow. By prioritizing biocompatibility and gentle interactions, our approach aims to enhance the safety and effectiveness of biomedical devices. Through innovative solutions in material selection and system design, we aim to advance cardiovascular medicine and contribute to the broader field of biomedical engineering.
