Promoting Sustainable Water Behaviours Through Exploration with IoT Prototypes
Valuing water is an important aspect of promoting sustainable environment. In this article, we showcase technical aspects of a behavioural design journey aimed at raising awareness about water conservation and consequently promote sustainable water management practices. We elaborate five modes of values to quantify the water consumption behaviour, which are implemented into two iterations of Arduino prototypes. We discuss data driven decisions and various modalities of the prototypes along with challenges faced during the design process. We conclude the article with future plans related to the evaluation of the final prototype.
