INJECTABLE INTRAVITREAL FLUOCINOLONE ACETONIDE IMPLANT FOR CHRONIC POSTOPERATIVE CYSTOID MACULAR EDEMA IN THE PRESENCE OF SILICONE OIL TAMPONADE
FAI is a long-acting steroid that may be beneficial in controlling chronic cystoid macular edema. It can be considered for use in eyes with silicone oil tamponade, but further studies are required to better understand the pharmacokinetics and utility of the FAI when injected into silicone oil-filled vitreous cavities.
