Experimental Study on Surface Residual Stress and Surface Roughness of Inconel718 Cutting
Abstract This thesis focused on the experimental study of surface residual stress and surface roughness of Inconel718 for cutting processing. Based on cutting theory, the cutting parameters’ effects on surface residual stress and roughness were analyzed through single-factor cutting experiments. The experimental results showed that: in the experimental parameters under constant conditions, Inconel718 processing surface residual stress with a rise in cutting speed in gradual decrease, with a rise in feeding speed and cutting depth in gradual increase; processing surface roughness Ra and Rz value with a rise in cutting speed in gradual decrease, with a rise in feeding speed and cutting depth in gradual increase. Consequently, the experimental results for Inconel718 cutting and processing technology provide a process basis.
