A GRIPE ESPANHOLA DE 1917-1920 NO TERRITÓRIO BRASILEIRO UMA REVISÃO HISTÓRICO-NARRATIVA SOBRE PERSPECTIVAS POLÍTICAS, ECONÔMICAS E SOCIAIS
This work deals with the 1918 pandemic, which was a flu that engulfed almost all parts of the world, also known as the Spanish Flu, leading to the death of more than 50 million people in all over the globe. The objective of this work was to make a parallel between the Spanish flu in the world and how it affected Brazil. In addition, the measures used by the Brazilian government to mitigate the spread of the virus were also presented. For this, a qualitative research was used in works and scientific articles inherent to the theme for the elaboration of the present work in order to make the understanding of the information presented crystal clear. Finally, it is concluded that the Spanish flu became a time marker and became an expression to remember some event that occurred in the period, which demanded actions by the Brazilian government to contain the impacts that this disease caused on the entire planet.
