The power of empathy

Recently, my family brought home a new dog. Her name is Maggie. Our family has fostered Labrador and Golden Retriever dogs for adoption for many years, so having a new pup in the house wasn’t all that unusual. But in this case, we were adopting Maggie right into our family. Maggie had some requisite medical needs and vaccines that needed to be taken care of, so within a week of her arrival home, we were at the veterinarian.
