Improved Designs for Standardization of Gong-type Sebulsik Keyboards

Purpose Improving the Gong-type Sebulsik computer keyboards efficiently for standardization. Methods Based on the design principles, the designs are analyzed, improved and derived, and evaluated using three evaluation indicators: load score, complexity, and consistency with QWERTY.Results By slightly improving, the ‘38A2’ model is derived. Then a 3-rows design 28A is derived with improved fingering range and high consistency with QWERTY.Conclusion The derived models are alternatives to Sebulsik standardization.

Abstract

Purpose Improving the Gong-type Sebulsik computer keyboards efficiently for standardization. Methods Based on the design principles, the designs are analyzed, improved and derived, and evaluated using three evaluation indicators: load score, complexity, and consistency with QWERTY.Results By slightly improving, the ‘38A2’ model is derived. Then a 3-rows design 28A is derived with improved fingering range and high consistency with QWERTY.Conclusion The derived models are alternatives to Sebulsik standardization.
