Optimizing investment strategies for digital music copyrights under uncertainty

In recent times, digital music copyrights have become a new investment property for online music platforms. Digital music copyright investments not only yield profits for platforms but also enhance their core competitiveness. However, various uncertainties are associated with the process of digital music copyright investment. Factors such as the content and genre of the music, the popularity and image of the artist, and unexpected events impact the return on investment. Moreover, realistic constraints such as copyright diversity and subscription conversion influence investment decisions. In such an uncertain environment, this study proposes a nonlinear uncertainty investment decision model that considers chance constraints and realistic constraints. This proposed model is based on the assumption that the playback growth, copyright payment, and subscription conversion rate are uncertain variables. Then, the equivalent form of the model is proven. Finally, numerical examples are provided to investigate the impact of investment preferences and realistic constraints on decision-making.
