A Critical Hadith Study of Medical Narrations (The Treatise Attributed to Imam al-Ridha (Peace Be Upon Him) as a Model)

The focus of this study is on the medical narrations attributed to the Imams (peace be upon them) in terms of their authenticity and authority. It discussed in some detail the medical treatise (al-Risalah al-Dhahabiyyah) attributed to Imam al-Ridha (peace be upon him) as a case study. The study also concluded that the medical treatise is one of the individual narrations that are not accompanied by evidence, and that its chain of transmission is weak due to the weakness of its direct narrator, as well as the lack of a chain of transmission to the copies available to us, in addition to the fact that its text suffers from several problems; the most prominent of which is that some of its paragraphs contradict the narrations as well as modern medicine, and that some of it is copied from other medical books, and other things that prevent reliance and dependence on it.
