The Impact of Self-Constructive Counseling on Emotional Regulation Development among Preparatory School Students
The current research aims to investigate the impact of self-constructive counseling on emotional regulation development among preparatory school students. To achieve the research objective and test its hypotheses, an experimental method with a single experimental group and a control group was employed, along with pre- and post-tests. A scale for emotional regulation consisting of 36 items was constructed, and a counseling counseling program based on self-constructive counseling techniques was developed, comprising 12 sessions conducted twice a week. Scientific steps were followed in constructing both the scale and the counseling program. After the final application of the research tool to a sample of 200 students, an experimental sample of 20 students who obtained the lowest scores on the emotional regulation scale was selected. The results showed that the counseling program had an impact on the development of emotional regulation among preparatory school students.
