Seent: Interfacing Gamified Olfactory Training

Olfactory dysfunction affects a significant proportion of the global population. Although traditional olfactory training can help with rehabilitation, it often lacks engagement due to its repetitive and dull nature. Advances in digital olfactory technologies have made the interaction between humans and odours possible. We introduce Seent, an interactive interface designed to gamify olfactory training, including hardware to digitalise odours and a corresponding Graphical User Interface. Seent integrates playful gameplay into the training process, allowing participants to engage in a series of odour-based interactive games. This paper concludes by outlining future steps and proposing its potential to enhance olfactory rehabilitation and promote regular olfactory health monitoring.
