The Affecting Mechanism of Secondary School Students’ Psychological Rich on Pro-environmental Behavior in Hunan Province of China

Life value propensity is the main factor that enhances students’ pro-environmental behavior, while psychological rich is associated with behaviors that protect the environment. Therefore, the relationship between secondary school students’ psychological rich and pro-environmental behavior, the mediating effect of digital resilience, and the facilitating effect of motivational regulation strategies were investigated using a sample of 315 students from 3 secondary schools in Hunan Province, China. The results confirm that psychological rich is positively related to pro-environmental behavior, digital resilience has a partial mediating effect, and motivational regulation strategies have multiple facilitating effects between psychological rich and pro-environmental behavior and digital resilience among secondary school students in Hunan Province, China. This suggests that secondary school students need not only positive life value dispositions but also a combination of strategic motivation and the ability to turn crises into opportunities to promote their pro-environmental behavior adequately in Hunan Province, China.
