O PAPEL DO FARMACÊUTICO NA IDENTIFICAÇÃO E PREVENÇÃO DE INTERAÇÕES MEDICAMENTOSAS

The study aims to analyze the role of pharmacists in identifying and preventing drug interactions, highlighting the importance of their role in promoting patient safety and treatment efficacy. The methodology used was an integrative literature review with a descriptive and qualitative approach. The research involved the analysis of scientific articles published between 2018 and 2024. The development of the article addresses the practices of pharmacists in identifying drug interactions, the use of technological tools, such as clinical decision support software, and the importance of continuing education for the prevention of interactions. The study shows that pharmacists are essential in reviewing medical prescriptions, guiding patients, collaborating with other health professionals, and ensuring comprehensive and safe care. It also highlights the impact of continuous training and the use of advanced technologies on the effectiveness of pharmaceutical practices. In conclusion, the article reaffirms the importance of the pharmacist in the health team and recommends valorizing their role through public policies that support continuing education and the integration of patient care practices, ensuring the safety of medication use and improving patients' quality of life.
