A Lightweight Authentication Algorithm Based on Device Fingerprint in Smart Grid

Under the promotion of carbon emission reduction goals, a new type of power grid with distributed new energy as the main body is taking shape. Many internet of things(IoT) nodes have been introduced into the new power grid to collect operation data of the distributed energy access, transmission, transformation network, and energy use information for end users. Due to the openness of the wireless access channel, unauthorized users will access the new power grid, causing the problem of data tampering of legitimate users. In this paper, the Static Random Access Memory(SRAM)trace of IoT nodes is used as device fingerprint, and a lightweight cryptography algorithm based on Gaussian mixture model and local outlier factor is designed to detect illegal users on IoT nodes. Simulation results exhibit the proposed algorithm can identify legal users efficiently.
