Lightweighting study of key components of lifting spreader based on the ANSYS workbench

Abstract Based on the ANSYS workbench simulation platform for a lightweight solution, the key components of the lifting spreader are optimized and analyzed for the study. Using the ANSYS workbench simulation platform in conjunction with Solidworks software, the following model optimization is carried out based on establishing and analyzing the finite element model. The optimization results show that the self-weight is reduced by 29.5%, which indicates that the optimization analysis can keep the key components of the spreader in use with the same performance and high safety factor while reducing their mass density, improving mechanical properties, and reducing production costs. At the same time, the optimized efficiency of key components can be achieved by making full use of their structural properties.
