Temperature field simulation analysis for hot blast valve of blast furnace
Abstract The hot blast valve of the blast furnace was studied, and combined with the theory of fluid-solid coupling heat transfer, Fluent software was used to simulate and analyze the temperature field of the hot blast valve of the blast furnace under two working conditions: fully opened and fully closed. The analysis result showed that during the fully opened condition of the hot blast valve, the highest temperature of the valve body reached 1, 332.3°C, which is located on the refractory surface of the hot-air valve duct. The highest temperature of the valve plate is 837.2°C, which is located on the refractory surface on the leeward side of the valve plate. During the fully closed condition, the highest temperature of the valve body is 1, 300°C, which is located on the refractory surface near the upwind side of the valve plate. The highest temperature of the valve plate is 839.9°C, which is located on the refractory surface on the windward side of the valve plate. During the opening-supplying-closing process of the hot blast valve, the temperature change at the bottom outer edge of the valve plate is up to 370°C. The research results have certain guiding significance for the overall structural design of hot blast valves, and provide data for the analysis of thermal deformation and structural strength of hot blast valves.
