Topology optimization of static ring of a spiral dehydrator

Abstract The static ring of the static ring filter screen of the self-designed spiral dehydrator is studied. According to the load and constraint of the static ring in the working process, the maximum total deformation of the static ring is obtained. Aiming at the lightweight requirement of the static ring, topological optimization of the static ring is carried out by using the variable density method based on static analysis, and the mathematical model of optimization is established. After optimization, the reasonable structure of the static ring is obtained, and its static performance meets the working requirements. Under the normal working frequency excitation, the harmonic response analysis shows that the maximum amplitude of the static ring is 0.535 mm. After optimization, the static ring mass is reduced by 9.7%, and the lightweight effect is remarkable. The research results provide a feasible method for the lightweight design of static rings.
