A CONSTRUÇÃO E PERDIÇÃO DA PERSONAGEM EM “O COMPANHEIRO DO GUARDIÃO” DE JOHN AJVIDE LINDQVIST
This article does an analysis about the main character construction on the fantastic short tale The Keeper’s Companion (2017) and its transformations occurred on the narrative process. Considering the constructive ways and character development after structuralist concepts, the article does one analyses of how the personality consistencies are given to the narrative and how the character’s status changes throughout the tale. From an advisor and domineering start condition, the character goes through a state of mental disturbance, finally becoming victim himself of the manipulations that he started. The traumatic process also means a parallel to the young protagonist’s maturating facing a treacherous and unstable social world. Is also considerable, but more subtle, the prejudicious construction of the character’s psyche and how that maturating process by the ways of moral error is harmful to all implicated, being them agents or victims on the social environment.
