Social Norm Compliance for Newly Introduced Norms During COVID-19 Pandemic
Social behavior is one of the phenomena of multifaceted manifestation of human personal qualities in communication with other people. One of the key moments in the implementation of social behavior is the degree of orientation of an individual to comply with the interests of the social group, namely norm compliance. This study aimed to investigate event-related potentials (ERPs) associated with the perception of social norm compliance and deviant behaviour in health-related norms. We hypothesized that stimuli portrayed as non-norm compliant will trigger N400 signal in left central and centrotemporal areas. Our results did not fully support this hypothesis.
