A Fractional-Order Reset ADRC Scheme for PMSM Speed Servo System

This paper presents a fractional-order reset active disturbance rejection control (FO-RADRC) strategy for the permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) speed servo system. This approach integrates an extended state observer (ESO) with a fractional-order reset controller (FORC) to enhance system performance. The ESO accurately estimates and compensates for total disturbances, and the FORC realizes tracking performance improvement. Notably, a fractional-order full-reset Clegg integrator with a reset band (FOFCI<inf xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">δ</inf>) is proposed to construct the FORC, thereby improving the performance of the traditional fractional-order Clegg integrator (FOCI). With the proposed FORADRC, the limit cycles typically observed in traditional reset control can be eliminated with disturbances. Simulation results illustrate that the proposed method can achieve rapid tracking response, significantly decreased overshoot, and superior disturbance rejection capability in PMSM speed control. Moreover, the performance can be optimized by tuning the fractional order and the reset band. Consequently, the proposed approach offers a promising solution to improve the performance of PMSM servo systems.
