Comments on: “Low temperature engineering feasibility of high reflective Ag–Sn films from experimental and thermodynamic views” [Mater. Phys. Chem. 254 (2020) 123490]

In this communication, some aspects of a paper published recently by Gao et al., Mater. Phys. Chem. 254 (2020) 123490 (here Ref. [4] ) are discussed. In this paper, some erroneous interpretation and citation of previously published work and false considerations concerning the phase formation in Ag-Sn thin layers are outlined. • phase formation in thin films • Ag-Sn thin films • entropy of ordered/disordered compounds
