Sound quality evaluation of small fan noise by tonal components

As Covod-19 has made online meetings from home offices the norm, the noise from small fans installed in information devices has increasingly become a factor disrupting a comfortable environment. In addition, as global warming accelerates, the use of new small fans called wearable fans has expanded, and the distance between small fans and humans has become even closer. In this study, we investigated whether T-TNR and T-PR, which are two methods for evaluating the tone characteristics of small fans, can be applied to the noise of projectors and wearable fans. We investigated a method for selecting dominant components and searched for a method for determining the harshness threshold using T-TNR and T-TPR.
