Estado del arte de los métodos de ensayo no destructivos al concreto
Non-destructive testing techniques have become, at present, a fundamental tool for civil engineering. Hand in hand with technological advances, these techniques have seen great progress in recent years. Numerous investigations have been and continue to be published, and from that arises the need for a guide that conveniently, through a contemporary approach, makes reference to theory and case studies that illustrate the reader in the matter. The latter is the main objective of this article. Based on a comprehensive literature review, an analysis of the state-of-the-art of a series of non destructive testing methods that focuses on their specific use for the evaluation of concrete structures, is presented. These methods have been grouped into six categories according to their main application, and their limitations, challenges and outlook are discussed.
