Charity Navigator launches new platform for donor portfolios

Charity Navigator, a leading nonprofit evaluator, has introduced a new platform designed to help simplify charitable giving and increase donor impact on the causes they care about. The platform, dubbed Causeway, will be managed by Charity Navigator's analysts, who select what the organization deems to be the most effective and efficient charities for inclusion in an individual donor's portfolio. Similar to investing in mutual funds, the group said, donors can create a giving portfolio of specific cause funds, with added assurance that their contributions will go to effective, vetted nonprofit organizations making documented progress in their areas of operation.
