A Low Temperature Coefficient CMOS Voltage Reference for Wide Temperature Range

This paper presents a wide temperature range CMOS voltage reference without BJT or passive resistors. The proposed CMOS voltage reference includes two voltage references and a temperature compensation circuit to attain a low-temperature coefficient across an extensive temperature range. The proposed voltage reference is implemented on 0.18 μm CMOS technology. The outcomes of the simulation illustrate that the proposed circuit operates across an extensive range of temperatures from −40°C to 200°C, exhibiting a temperature coefficient of 14.5 ppm/°C. The reference voltage is 465.66 mV at 0.9V. It is computed that the line sensitivity is 0.14%/V and power consumption is 5.6μW. The power supply rejection ratio is observed to be −35.77 dB within the frequency range of 1 Hz to 100 KHz. Output noise levels of 0.32 μ V/√Hz and 0.2 μ V/√Hz are obtained at frequencies of 100 KHz and 1 MHz, respectively.
