A Single Band Microstrip Modified Rectangular Antenna Having Rectangular and Square Slot Cuts in Patch and Ground for 39GHz Application Frequency
A new innovative microstrip rectangular patch antenna with multiple slots has been studied and investigated in this research article. The antenna is made of 1.0mm thick FR4 epoxy substrate. The antenna has a single-band peak centered at 39.03 GHz. The return loss value for the frequency band is -42.622dB, indicating good impedance matching and high efficiency and gain. Antenna design and power measurement is done using HFSS software. The required antenna size is 6.2×7.4×l.0mm3, suitable for integration into small 5G devices. The company-recommended antenna provides excellent impedance performance with a partial impedance of 50 ohms and an imaginary impedance of 0 ohms. This document describes the evolution of the design and documents all enhancement techniques used and their impact on regression. Many parameters of the final model were analyzed, such as Return loss, gain, VSWR, interference coefficients, 2D radiation patterns, far field radiation, and 3D polar plot.
