Blockchain as Support for the Banking Sector with a Focus on Financial Assets in Colombia
The growing digital era, accompanied by the proliferation of new means of monetary exchange such as digital assets, has revealed a significant deficiency in the regulatory framework of the Colombian State. The absence of an efficient and secure method to monitor transactions with digital assets has generated an urgent need to develop a tool that facilitates such monitoring in Colombia. In response to this challenge, this project emerges: a software prototype based on blockchain technology that represents an innovative solution for regulatory entities. Its objective is to establish a system for declaring and tracking digital assets that reflects the effectiveness and transparency of traditional income tax declaration, but focused on the realm of digital assets. This approach will not only allow users to declare their digital assets in a secure and reliable manner, but will also ensure that these records are immutable and transparent on the blockchain network.
