Beyond the IC - Couplers, Channels and Components for High-Performance Polymer Microwave Fiber Communication Systems
In recent years, Polymer Microwave Fiber (PMF) has attracted attention as a promising communication technology for short and medium distances, offering a wide and relatively flat bandwidth while exhibiting resilience to electromagnetic interference (EMI). These properties present an advantage over traditional wireline systems, while its potential for integration in commodity CMOS technology provides a cost benefit compared to optical communication [1].
