Specialized X-Band LNA Design for SAR Applications
Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) utilizes the principle of radar waves reflecting off surfaces to obtain high-resolution images. SAR is typically employed by radar systems mounted on platforms such as satellites, aircraft, or unmanned aerial vehicles. Especially in military applications, SAR is utilized for tasks like enemy detection and target identification by providing high-resolution images [1, 2]. Working in the X-band is important for SAR because the X-band provides a suitable frequency range for obtaining high-resolution images. X-band frequencies are commonly used in high-resolution radar systems because this frequency range allows radar waves to reflect smaller details from objects, enabling the capture of more precise images. Therefore, SAR systems operating in the X-band are preferred for obtaining detailed and high-resolution images. In this context, the design of the LNA used in SAR systems operating in the X-band plays a significant role in improving the system’s sensitivity and enhancing the quality of high-resolution images [3].
