Dynamic Power Allocation with Energy Harvesting in Cooperative Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access Communication
This paper delves into dynamic power allocation in Cooperative Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access (CNOMA) network, emphasizing energy harvesting (EH). By integrating Simultaneous Wireless Information and Power Transfer (SWIPT), the study explores the impact of EH on system performance, achieving improved spectral efficiency and reduced energy consumption. This framework employs Time Switching (TS) and Power Splitting (PS) protocols, allowing for simultaneous EH and data transmission. Analytical derivations and simulations reveal that SWIPT-based CNOMA yields lower outage probability and increased achievable rates, especially for far users. This study also examines bit error rate (BER), outage probability, and achievable capacity across various channel conditions, demonstrating that cooperative communication and EH in Non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) networks lead to significant performance gains. The results will contribute to the advancement of sustainable and efficient communication systems that can satisfy increasing needs for high data rates and reliable connectivity.
