Experimental Validation Of An Em Scattering Formulation For Buildings With Multiple Windows

Electromagnetic wave propagation in urban environments is a complex problem due to interactions with buildings and one needs knowledge of high-frequency scattering characteristics, such as reflection and diffraction. Scattering by a building with windows is one of the most important problems, as it consists of conductive and dielectric materials. In order to analyze and predict the EM wave behavior in such scenarios, analytical and numerical approaches are essential. The Kirchhoff Approximation (KA) is one method for calculating the high-frequency scattering of EM waves. It has been successfully applied to analyze the scattering field by a single window aperture with/without window glass on an infinite conducting screen [1], [2].
