An Inflatable Electromagnetic Simulator Based on Low-Frequency-Compensated Antenna
Transient electromagnetic disturbance (TED) such as intentional electromagnetic interference (IEMI), fast transient overvoltage (VFTO) and high-altitude electromagnetic pulse (HEMP) can lead to radiated effects electrical and electronic systems. For large-scale equipment under test (EUT), guided-wave simulators, dipole simulators and hybrid simulators are usually applied [1–2], whereas most of them are ground-fixed. For large-scale EUT such as ultra-high-voltage transformers, it is necessary to develop a transportable simulator for the purpose of on-site TED experiments. An inflatable simulator based on low-frequency-compensated antenna is designed in this paper, which can be used to generate the radiated field of VFTO and HEMP.
